A records problem

[2 Grey Star Level]

I want to point a subdomain to my localhost webserver via A records but when I go into the site I get this:
http://sub.domain.com/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi

What am I doing wrong?

Have you created the subdomain in your hosting control panel? Using the Subdomains icon there, you will need to create the subdomain itself. Just creating the DNS record points sub.domain.com to the server, but the server has no idea what to do with it until you actually tell it.

Thank you for your answer. I solved the problem by creating an .htaccess file with this:

Options -ExecCGI

Then I created an .html file with this:

And then I change the index.php name to home.php. Also opened port 80.

I’m using Zend Server as webserver in my home computer.
