How do I deploy a Ruby on Rails Application on Site5?

[3 Grey Star Level]

Maybe this is too broad of a question, but I will ask it anyway.

How do you deploy a Ruby on Rails Application on site5? I have no problem building something locally, but deployment is brand new to me.

Thanks

Hey Ryan,

Instead of using Mongrel, all Ruby on Rails applications need to be deployed with Phusion Passenger (mod_rails). I have provided a tutorial from our Knowledgebase which should get you going.

Note: Our Knowledgebase is in the process of being overhauled, but will be back up to 100% functionality and content very soon!

Thanks,

I went through the steps on the Site5 terminal, but what if you already have an application on your localhost, and need to migrate it over to site5?

That would need to be a new question actually since that is a different topic. We are trying to keep this quite strict in terms of ask a question and receive an answer, and not threaded comments.
