How to send emails from Drupal and WordPress?

[2 Grey Star Level]

I have more (Drupal, WordPress) sites at Site5 and currently none of them can send emails.

This function used to work and I do not know what and when was changed.

I tried to find information and found an old thread at drupal.org which talks about the same problem. But that was closed saying everything should be OK: https://drupal.org/node/810148.

I’ve also found information that I must set up an email account on the server (and set that address in a custom php.ini as sendmail_from value). I did all of these, but it still does not work.

Is here a stuff member who knows the right and actual answer?

Hi thamas,

We can certainly take a look at this for you, yes. It will require a deeper investigation than we can provide here, though – can I ask you to open a ticket with our support team, via BackStage? Please provide any error messages you are receiving, and any relevant information (when it stopped working, any changes you may have made, etc…) in the ticket, to speed up resolution.

Unfortunately I can’t open a ticket ’cause I’m am using your system by a reseller.

However it seems he found a misconfiguration and opened a ticket…
