There used to be an article in the old support wiki about ftp account setup and use. I don’t seem to be able to locate it and don’t use it often enough to feel confident to setup ftp accounts and walk someone through the use without a review.
We will be adding more tutorials on FTP setup, but all you need to do is go into SiteAdmin or cPanel and then go to the “FTP Accounts” section. From there, you fill out the form on that page to create the actual account on the server.
Once the account is created, you would connect to it in your FTP client like you would with your main account, but with the user/password you created.
Remember that all secondary FTP accounts need to use the full domain in the login (like an email address) when connecting. So, if you created an account called “wordpress” you need to login with “[email protected]” as the user name.
