I have hostPro + Turbo which includes unlimited sites. I have 10 to 15 domain names I’d like to put up for sale. Instead of creating 10 to 15 separate site accounts in MultiAdmin for each domain’s landing page is it possible to use one site account to stage all the domain’s for sale? For example; the domains4sale.com site account houses the separate landing pages for widgets.com, gizmos.com, sprockets.com, etc.
That should be possible, yes, but it is not something we would be able to set up for you. It would entirely be the code you create for it, but it would work.
I should point out, as well, that once one of these is sold it would need to be moved to it’s own account (not a subaccount in MultiAdmin), if you plan on charging hosting to your customer as well. In that case, a reseller plan would be the better way to go.
So there’s no built in features in Backstage or MultiAdmin or cPanel (or whatever its called) that would do this for me or even provide a feature or two that helps make this possible?
Not really, no. As mentioned, that would be all in the code of your main site, which is entirely up to you. It would work just fine on our systems, but it is something you would need to build.
Actually the “Addon Domains” feature in SiteAdmin does exactly what I’m looking for. Uploading the “domain for sale” HTML template landing page & assets to each domain’s subdirectory under one site account is a hell of a lot easier than having 15 different MultiSites and FTP accounts to manage.
The template is all static HTML, so this works perfectly for me now.
