How do I move a wordpress site?

i’m working on migrating a wordpress site from my old hosting to site5. i have migrated wordpress sites in the past (copy all files & export/import db from phpmysql). is this process the same with site5? I’m wondering because i used fantastico to install wp, which I’ve never used before.

i am aware that site5 offers migration, but i don’t want to give out my other hosts ftp & login info as our company is still actively using them.

being as I’ve already moved my files over, what is the best way to migrate my db to site5?

You can use the same process that you use with other migrations to move your wordpress site over to us. If you used Fantastico, you will just need to move your site specific files (plugins, images, etc) over.

As for the database, if you have a sql file from the old host, you can simply use phpMyAdmin to import the backup.
