Hi Brandon,
This is a rather open-ended question, and one that we can’t really answer here. Joomla offers a very helpful community at http://www.joomla.org/ that would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Joomla is a robust tool with a lot of moving parts, but most of them can be set and left. Once you have things the way you want them, you really only need to work with one or two tools.
