I have followed the steps posted on this website to set up my Outlook 7 with Yahoo and Gmail. The Yahoo account set up succeeded immediately.
However, it is the Gmail account set up that causes this trouble. When I go to \”Test Account Settings\”, I keep getting a popup window tells me to \”Enter Network Password\”. The \”Server Field\” is filled with \”pop.gmail.com\”, my username, and my password (already entered). And right after I click \”OK\”, the same window of request pops up again.
I have tried all codes listed in the post — please see http://kb.site5.com/email/email-software/microsoft-outlook/how-to-setup-a-popimap-e-mail-account-in-microsoft-outlook-2013/
Nevertheless, I still cannot solve the popup window problem.
Please help! Thanks a million!

An authentication error is just that – the server you are connecting to is expecting a certain username and password, and it is not receiving it. Have you confirmed the login information at gmail.com directly?
