My wordpress login link redirects to the proper domain name which isnt yet working and I cannot find the .htaccess file. Could you tell me where it is?

The .htaccess file will not exist by default, you need to create it. Simply create a blank text file and call it “.htaccess” with no file extension.
If you want to use your temporary URL in WordPress prior to moving the domain over, follow this tutorial:
