I need help getting started with wordpress.org.

I believe I have installed it but what do I do now? How do I upload my template and start working on building my site?
(And how do I know if I’ve installed it correctly?)

You should be able to confirm the installation simply by visiting your site. If you see a default WordPress installation (it should say something along the lines of “this is my first post”), it is installed correctly. Themes are installed through the admin area, and we have a pretty extensive guide on WordPress in our knowledgebase, at http://kb.site5.com/scripts/wordpress-overview/
