I’d like to know how Site5 handles automatic backups of websites. How often is it done? Are there limitations? What does a user need to do? Are there options available to users?
We automatically preform backups every night on all of services. We store the backups for roughly 7 days before recycling them out. This means that at any given time, we will have ~7 backups that you can then restore from.
We currently do not have any limitations other than the 7 day refresh time that I mentioned above.
To request a restore, you can simply fill out the “Backup Restore” form from within the Backstage Add-On’s page.
The only exception to this, is our Virtual Server (VPS) solutions. We do not automatically store any backups unless you are subscribed to the “Remote Guaranteed Backups” service. If you are not currently subscribed and would like to have automated backups, please contact technical support for more details and pricing.
