Is it possible to create a subdomain programatically?

I’d like to use Ruby or a shell script to create subdomains programatically and then have the dns.site5.com and dns2.site5.com automatically pick the new subdomain up. How can this be done? I’m on an SuperHosting Xtreme account on the bochetti server.

Depending on what exactly you are trying to do, you may be able to use the cPanel API to accomplish this.
