Subdomain hosted here but domain hosted elsewhere

[2 Grey Star Level]

First, I apologize if this is a rookie question, I just can’t seem to wrap my head around the best way to do this:

I have a custom CMS hosted on Enjin at www.teammythic.net I also have the hostPro plan here as well. What I would like to do is have the primary domain: teammythic.net to continue to point to Enjin while using my hostPro plan for subdomains and email.

The nameservers currently point to Enjin’s NS via GoDaddy. If you can break this down Barney style for me, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Hello!

This is sort of a complicated process, but is fairly easy to do. Simply follow these steps:

1 – add teammythic.net as a hosted domain on your account with us

2 – create any subdomains and email addresses you may need within SiteAdmin on our end

3 – with GoDaddy (or your DNS provider, if Enjin provides you the option to manage your DNS records), ensure your MX records resolve to the IP address of your hosted account with us. You should see this IP address in your hosting welcome email from us

4 – ensure that any A records for subdomains are pointed to the same IP. This is done with GoDaddy or your DNS provider, as well.
