How can I copy emails from a server 2003 exchange account, to a new account on your servers when only Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync is available on the old server?

[2 Grey Star Level]

How can I complete moving a mail server’s mail from an exchange server, to one of your servers that I have just opened an account on? The only way I can access the current mail server is through Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync.

Any help would be much appreciated. I cannot use FetchMail in Horde as it will not connect.

Thank you

I have since answered my own question:

By installing DavMail Gateway onto my computer I can then use Outlook, Thunderbird or any other email client to receive emails from the exchange server using OWA. Once DavMail Gateway is installed and pointing to the correct OWA address, you simply configure your email client to look at ‘localhost’ and the ports you set in DavMail instead of the server address, turn off any encryption, and put all the other settings such as user name as they would otherwise be. Your mail client can then interact with OWA/Exchange ActiveSync.
Then migrating your mail to the new account is as easy as drag and drop!
