How can I copy emails from a server 2003 exchange server to one of imap accounts?

[2 Grey Star Level]

I have a client who has an existing exchange server running on small business server 2003 in their office. They want to get rid of this as they only have 5/6 email accounts in use now with about 500mb of mail for each account.
Basically they would like me to build their new website which will be hosted on a hostPro + Turbo (London) that the client wishes me to open for them, which is only a simple site showing their services. However they want there mail to also be served by the same server to cut down on support bills (plus a dedicated office server with static ip is a little over the top for 5 office staff running their outfit from a bedroom).
This leads me to the question: Is there an ‘easy’ way to transfer the mail from the exchange server, to your imap email accounts? I have seen software such as Aid4mail but never used them to know if they are reliable? Also they do not have cPanel on their exchange server.
Any light you can throw on the subject would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks for reading.
Regards
Steve

Hello Steve,

If you can connect to the exchange server via IMAP or POP3, this article may be of help.

Otherwise, I would recommend that you add both the old exchange server and the new email account to outlook or another email client that works with your exchange server. You should then be able to copy/move the files by clicking and dragging between folders. In order for this to be done, the email connection to the new email account needs to be setup to use IMAP.
