Hi,
I have a domain name, and I want to use just Site5 email hosting.
I created email account, and now I need to know hostname for add MX record on my domain DNS settings.
Thanks.
The MX record and mail server names are variable, depending on your domain name and the server you are on. We have an extensive article on this at http://kb.site5.com/email/email-overview/ but the general information is as follows:
mail server names (incoming and outgoing): either mail.yourdomain.com, replacing ‘yourdomain.com’ with your actual domain name; or the server’s hostname as detailed in your welcome letter.
MX record: this is set by default, and unless you have changed it will be mail.yourdomain.com (again, replacing ‘yourdomain.com’ with your actual domain name).
