I’ve got a guy who may be looking for a new VPS host due to poor DDoS prevention with his current host, and the game servers he hosts are subject to regular DDoS attacks from competitors. 1 TB bandwidth on an unmanaged VPS would be enough normally without attacks, but with botnets attacking that bandwidth wouldn’t last very long.
That being said, how does Site5 manage DDoS attacks? If Site5 is unable to prevent these attacks for some reason, will it still count against the monthly bandwidth limit?
Thanks.

Hello,
Thank you for your interest in our products and we apologize about the delay in getting back to you.
Unfortunately, no matter the host, DDoS attacks will always count towards bandwidth usage until they are stopped using some form of firewall.
Once a DDoS is detected, we have TMS (Threat Management System) enabled on the network. This greatly reduces the amount of bad traffic that makes it to the server while allowing good traffic to continue un-interrupted. This service is provided on all of products, including our Unmanaged VPS services.
