Can I install Varnish?

Is it possible to install Varnish on a shared multiaccount? How can I do it? Thanks.

You can either go to siteadmin and then open Fantastico (under Web Apps) and it installs everything for you with a few clicks, or you can install it manually.

First go to Databases->Manage Databases and Users, create a new database and associated user.

Then extract the zip you downloaded, rename the file wp-config-sample.php to wp-config.php, edit it and put the database, password and user that you just created, open your web site and you are good to go, as it will go through the WP instalation process automaticaly.

If your client wants to keep her domains on godaddy or somewhere else, you just need to tell her to change the DNS from her domains to:
dns1: dns1.site5.com
dns2: dns2.site5.com

Your create the account with multisite and that’s it.

I already signed up to be notified of VPS unmanaged launch.

In the meantime I’ll look for another solution.
