How do I get python upgraded?

I’m upgrading to the latest Django because the version I’m running is no longer supported.

Unfortunately supported version of django require python to be at least 2.6.5 and Site5 is running 2.6.1 (from 2009 :-/).

Is there anyway to get python upgraded on my server?

There are no plans at the moment to upgrade this, no. 2.6.1 is the stable version we are running, and upgrades to anything on the server fleet – even small upgrades like this – take time and a lot of testing.
