WordPress is quite a broad term but to be precise it is a Content Management System and world’s mostly use blogging platform. One can set up simple blogs to fully functional dynamic websites on the same. You just have to install cool WordPress themes and plugins to make it attractive and effective. I prefer this over other platforms and mainly use http://www.ilikenull.com/ and themeko.org for getting free themes and plugins for my blogs.

Hello! That is a rather broad question, that covers a lot of information 🙂 WordPress is a Content Management System, basically an application that you install to your hosting account that takes a lot of the design work out of your hands. It provides the framework of your site, and lets you concentrate on the important part – content.
