I have not yet uploaded my website, but I immediately need my work email back up and running. I used to have [email protected] with my website through my old host, but I am starting from scratch because I can’t get them to transfer my website. What steps do I need to take to get that exact email up and running? I have business cards with that email out, and clients trying to get a hold of me.
If I understand you correctly, you want to create an e-mail address even though you have not built your site?
Its really simple and Site5 user’s interface makes this a breeze!
>Login to your account.
>On the top right hand corner, you will see “Site Admin”. You will want to click on the website you are trying to create the e-mail account for. It will take you to your sites Dashboard.
>Now look to the left hand column. The fourth section down you will find “Email”. Click it!
>Then the section witll open sub-sections. Click on Email Accounts
>Ensure you are setting up the e-mail for the right account. Enter in your desired name (ie: [email protected]) Password, set desired storage limit.
>Then click Create! Thats it!
All of the other tools you may need (webmail, forwarders etc etc) are right there in that Email category. Hope that helps!
