Obviously we need to avoid downtime as much as possible.
So what sort of response time can we expect on such a request?
Are we talking minutes? Hours?
Does it vary according to the time of day the request is made?

Provided the new domain name is pointing to us, via the correct nameservers, there should be little to no downtime at all. DNS propagation should not take long, and the change will be recognised worldwide within a very short time.

Hello,
Yes, we have this feature disabled, as it requires root-level access. We would be happy to change the domain name for you, of course, and you can request this in BackStage, using the ‘Domain Name Change Request’ form under the AddOns tab.
