I just changed to an external email provider and now my website contact form is not working. Why?

I recently changed to an external email system and I noticed that our website contact form is not working. Why is this and how do I fix it?

Normally this is because on our internal mail system, the routing records are still set to local. Because all of our services check our internal records first, it would still think that your email is still being hosted locally meaning it would not send to your domain outside of our network.

You can fix this by changing the routing to Remote Mail Exchanger. For more information on how to do this, please see step 3 of the following article…
