Can I point a domain registered through another company to my MultiSite?

I have a client that would like to maintain her own domain (rather than me transferring it), she currently has it hosted at godaddy. Two questions:

1) If I create a new multisite account with her domain name, will that automatically put in a transfer request or a repoint request? Or does it simply set up the structure?

2) Do we contact godaddy to handle the repoint? Or is that something you guys need to do?

If your client wants to keep her domains on godaddy or somewhere else, you just need to tell her to change the DNS from her domains to:
dns1: dns1.site5.com
dns2: dns2.site5.com

Your create the account with multisite and that’s it.
