Why do I get “page not found” when trying to access a subdomain I just added?

Adding a subdomain is probaly one of the easiest tasks a webmaster can do but apparently I am missing something because when I try to install the CMS, I am met with a page not found. I am running cloudflare, turned it off to troubleshoot & even took it further by adding my subdomain into the DNS settings.

I ended up tracing the problem with my DNS settings. I mentioned in my question that I use a CDN which means my sites name-server and dns is manged by my CDN. after adding a A record and CNAME record this fixed the problem!
