Make sure that the Administrative contacts for the domains have current information — especially email address. Registrars send verification emails to that email address, so be sure that email address is your current email address.
Admin contacts are correct. No changes made in the last year, renewal on NS not due until 4/27/12 and GD later than that, called and asked for help. It’s a frustrating process.
Did you ever receive an automated email asking you to click on a link to approve the transfer? If you didn’t receive any, it’s possible it ended up in the spam folder. Domain transfer emails will sometimes end up in the spam/junk folder.
If you never received the automated email, I would definitely try again, and make sure the admin contact details are correct (especially typos!). It’s rare for someone to not receive the automated transfer email.
So I tried again on 1/17. Got the code from NS and GD (which are the same codes as before of course) and started the transfer in BackStage. Should I have gotten this elusive email message by now? Ed (not wanting to be impatient…)
I always got it within hours of starting the transfer, so something is definitely wrong.
Can you open a ticket with support https://backstage.site5.com ? Our hostmaster department will gladly check on the transfer and let you know what’s going on.
I told Comcast to save my spam, and tried again. Also entered a support request as you suggested. Thanks for the help, and for the ear. It’s a very frustrating process!

Hi OD,
