IF you do decide on a wildcard SSL certificate to protect all domains like http://www.acme.com and forum.acme.com, etc. You should know that you will need to do the following:
1) create each domain as a separate account
2) Have a static IP for each domain
3) Get your wildcard SSL installed on each domain.
Since i learnt this the hard way, thought someone else may benefit from it.

I want to setup SPF and DKIM (http://support.google.com/a/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=178723) and there is no mention of that in the articles you linked to here.
